Innovation & Entrepreneurship Doctoral Courses, 2013/14 Autumn

The Budapest DTC announces Innovation & Entrepreneurship courses for Autumn 2013. 


The training is free of charge and is open for any PhD student of Informatics, Mathematics or Electrical Engineering.


Courses

 Goals & content

 

The course is announced as part of the EIT ICT Labs Doctoral School on ICT Innovation. The objective is to foster an entrepreneurial spirit among the students, and thus help them recognize the business potential of their research, and better adjust their research to the needs of the markets.

The intended learning outcomes of this introductory course are the following:

 

● New perspectives on academic entrepreneurship.

● Sensitivity to the needs of the markets.

● Greater awareness of the marketability of one’s research results.

● The ability to define entrepreneurship in ICT context.

● The ability to apply business concepts and bring research more in line with the industry.

● The ability to assess different business environments (local vs. global industry).

● The ability to assess the roles the different ventures and businesses play in the national economy.
